The perfect all purpose wallet Feb 25, 2010

I bought this wallet because I was looking for a quality neutral colored wallet to go with various purses. This was the one I found that could meet all my various criteria. It's a nice color, neutral but not boring, and I like the pleated leather front. The small magnetic clasp closes easily, and is secure enough that it does not slip open accidentally. There are plenty of card slots, I have 1-2 cards in most and they all stay in place but are easy enough to slip out when I need them. This was one of the few wallets I could find that had a divided pocket area - I travel often enough that I like to be able to slip one currency in one side and US dollars in the other. The back has a zippered coin section that is a good size.
The only thing some people might miss is the absence of a clear ID pocket, so you do have to take your license out if anyone asks for it. Personally, I prefer not having one - half the time they ask you to remove the card anyway, and it was always getting snagged on the lip of the clear pockets I had in the past. Like I mentioned, these pockets are easy enough that removing the ID when needed is no biggie.
Even with all card pockets full, dollar bills, and a checkbook inside, this wallet keeps its slim look and is easy to store in the zippered section of my medium sized purse. I've been using this wallet for about a month and there are some light scuffs on the leather (mostly from me dragging it along the zipper of the purse pocket in which I store it), but they disappear with a little leather moisturizer, which it needs anyway to keep its rich look. Overall I love it - I looked a long time for the right wallet and I hope this little beauty lasts me years!
